Management Team

Brad Klaus: CEO, Co–Founder

As CEO, Brad Klaus oversees all business operations and ensures Syndero´s short–term and long–term financial growth and success.

Prior to leading Syndero, Brad served as Vice President of Sales and Business Development for Qualys, the leading network security provider of on–demand vulnerability management. During his tenure at Qualys, the company more than doubled its revenues. Prior to Qualys, Brad served as Vice President of Sales for DemandTec, a web-services company selling mission–critical, enterprise software services to the retail and consumer goods industries. Brad also spent six years at Siebel Systems, where he launched the Pacific Northwest sales division.

Brad holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Integrative Biology and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics, both from the University of California, Berkeley.

Brad also currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Electronic Retailing Association, the leading trade association for companies who use the power of direct response to sell goods and services to the public on television, online, and on radio.

David Lukrich: VP Business Development, Co–Founder

David continues to act as a key component in Syndero´s financial development and success. He is responsible for building key relationships and long–term partners, for Syndero.

Prior to founding Syndero, David gained extensive expertise in online marketing at Adteractive Inc., a performance–based ad network. At Adteractive, David served as Director of Advertiser Sales, where he focused on developing Fortune 500 client campaigns. Before Adteractive, David served as Sales Director at Decru Inc., a storage–encryption appliance manufacturer acquired by Network Appliance for $262MM. At Decru, he focused on acquiring the company´s first customers and hiring the initial North American sales force. David started his sales career at Network Appliance in 1995. He was responsible for the sales development launch for the San Francisco/East Bay region. David earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of California, Riverside.

Dan Ellis: VP Corporate Strategy, Co–Founder

As co–founder, Dan is responsible in guiding the company strategy and development. Syndero is always exploring new opportunities for growth through strategic partnerships, mergers, and acquisitions.

Prior to Syndero, Dan was a product marketing manager at Adteractive, Inc., where he developed and managed various products for online direct–marketing campaigns. Dan played a key role in interfacing with the engineering, design and sales teams, leading the implementation of new marketing campaigns across the entire affiliate network of 200+ websites. Additionally, Dan was responsible for the product group that developed the industry´s first online mortgage, education and finance portals, which generated over $2MM in monthly revenue under his management. Before Adteractive, Dan held various roles in IT and web–development groups for Intel Corporation and Broadcom throughout the Bay Area. Dan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Management Information Systems from the University of the Pacific in Stockton, California.

Buck Antestenis: VP Marketing

Buck drives the strategy, development and performance of Syndero´s media acquisition and retention efforts. Prior to joining Syndero, Buck acted as Executive Vice President of Strategy and Customer Retention for Intelligent Beauty, Inc., where he was a founding employee of the company and helped develop several online and offline brands in the health and beauty product vertical.

Before this, Buck was Vice President of Marketing at Alena (a division of Intermix Media), where he was responsible for the successful launch of Hydroderm Beverly Hills. Hydroderm went from $0 to over $60MM in annual revenue in less than two years due to aggressive customer acquisition and retention strategies led by Buck. Buck was also the first full-time employee at LowerMyBills.com, where – as director of marketing – he oversaw Customer Acquisition efforts that helped drive the company to profitability.

Buck possesses over 12 years of leadership experience in the direct marketing space. Eight of those years have included a significant online component. Buck also brings vast experience in marketing multiple products and services direct to consumer via online, print, radio, television, direct mail and other media channels.

Pat Donohoe: VP Operations

As Vice President of Operations, Pat Donohoe oversees the Customer Service, Supply Chain, Fulfillment and Analytics departments.

Pat brings four years of health and beauty experience to Syndero. Prior to joining Syndero, Pat served as Chief Operating Officer of Anastasia Beverly Hills and as Vice President of Operations for Dermalogica, Inc., a leading professional skincare company. Pat oversaw similar functions in both of these companies. In addition to his operations background, Pat possesses a strong accounting background as well as significant experience in sales and marketing.

Pat worked as a product manager in start–up divisions within both The Walt Disney Company and Kodak and helped grow Affinity Internet into a $42 MM a year web–hosting company as its Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Pat started his career in public accounting and received his CPA while at Price Waterhouse. Pat received a Bachelor of Arts in History and Economics/Business at UCLA and a Masters of Business Administration from Harvard Business School.

Mike Reaves: CTO

Mike Reaves joined the Syndero team as CTO in April, 2008. Prior to Syndero, Mike spent 18 months as VP Engineering at AdBrite, building high volume ad serving products and systems, allowing AdBrite to scale to more than 6 billion ads served per day.

Before AdBrite, Mike was the CIO of the Zone Labs Division of Check Point Software Technologies. During his four year tenure, he helped to improve gross margins of the company's $50 million ecommerce business and redefined its global network strategy. In addition, Mike managed back-end systems development to provide nearly 100% uptime to more than 12 million Zone Alarm users. Mike also spent four years as the VP of Engineering at LookSmart, where he scaled the technology operation, to establish the company as a Top 10 Web Property (MediaMetrix, Aug. 1999). Starting as employee 30 and remaining with the company through its IPO, Mike grew the LookSmart engineering team to more than 80 staff and opened data centers in the U.S., Asia, Australia and Europe. He also managed due diligence efforts for the company´s acquisitions and its strategic technology relationship with MSN Search.

Mike has also worked as a Software Development Manager at USWeb, as VP Engineering for a financial data company in San Francisco and as a researcher in the Atomic Physics division at Lawrence Livermore National Lab. Mike holds a Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Connecticut.

David Wallace: General Counsel

David joined Syndero in June 2008, and leads the company´s legal and regulatory compliance affairs, and is responsible for negotiating acquisitions and strategic partnerships for the company.

Before joining Syndero, David served as General Counsel at American Reprographics Company (NYSE: ARP), the leading digital document management and reproduction company serving the architectural, engineering and construction industries in the United States. David also previously served in–house at a division of Tyco International, Ltd., and as General Counsel at ZapMe! Corporation, an online educational technology and media company. Before moving to in–house practice, David was a partner at Shapiro Buchman Provine & Patton LLP, where he represented technology and real property entrepreneurs.

David possesses 20 years of legal experience. He received his JD from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, and his undergraduate degree from the University of San Francisco.
